MAKE THE PLANTER.
Rinse empty 64 oz. SunnyD bottles
— caps too— and let dry. Set the
caps aside for later. Have an adult
(only!) cut a slit in the bottles with a
utility knife as shown, then use scissors
to cut off the upper half and add
small drainage holes to the bottom.
PLANT THE SEEDS.
For seeds, fill the bottom half of
the bottle about 3/4 full with soil.
For paperwhite bulbs, fill the bottom
about 3/4 full with pebbles and
water. Plant seeds or bulbs, then
water according to the instructions
included on the seed or bulb packet
CREATE AN IDEAL
ENVIRONMENT.
Secure the top half of the bottle
to the bottom half with duct tape
to create an ideal growing environ-
ment. Add sunlight and watch it
grow! Remove top half of bottle
with the first signs of sprouting.
